Why.

I've always wanted to write a blog. But I felt like everything had been taken - diet blogs, fashion blogs, DIY blogs. Then my idea came to me...it hit me when my sister called a power drill a wrench.

The lightbulb: I was helping my little sister move into her apartment. She was asking me how to hang up the picture frame and what a level was. When I asked for a pencil to mark a spot on the wall to hang she brought me a colored pencil. We had finished hanging everything up and were packing up to leave. When Bailey [my sister] handed me my power drill and said, "Bria don't forget your wrench." I was stunned and found it really funny. My ideas just kept spinning - I wanted to get home and start writing.

So this is how I'm spending my Wednesday night. Thinking of ideas to write about, getting pictures ready, and looking for projects to do that I can post about.

This blog will be about EVERYTHING that a single woman needs to know. This isn't a dating blog, I'm single but delightfully independent just means living on your own. Living independently can be an exciting time but it can also be a scary time. It's a time when you want to head out on your own but you still have questions. I'm no master - let's make that clear - but I love figuring out how to do things on my own. I do call in reinforcements when needed or youtube a video when something isn't working quite right.
